Merger of partitionist parties long overdue development - Molloy
Commenting on reports of the imminent takeover of the SDLP by Fianna Fáil, Sinn Féin MP Francie Molloy said:
“The merger of two partitionist parties would be a long overdue development.
“All-Ireland politics is the clear direction of travel for all of us on this island as the failure of partition and the disaster of Brexit unfold around us.
“Sinn Féin has always been an all-Ireland party so the electorate across Ireland will now have a clear choice between the socially and economically progressive politics of Sinn Féín and the conservative politics of Fianna Fáil.”
