Maskey welcomes funding for green public transport
Sinn Féin MP Paul Maskey has welcomed a funding package for environmentally friendly public transport in the north.
The West Belfast MP said:
"The Department of Transport has announced funding of almost £2m to fund hydrogen fuel cell vehicles and refuelling infrastructure.
"This has been awarded to a consortium that includes Translink and help move towards making public transport more environmentally friendly.
"It will also lead to the creation of a hydrogen cell refuelling station in Belfast, initially for public transport but could in the future be used by other large vehicles.
"This is all part of a series of measure aimed at creating a greener environment."
