18 March, 2019 - by Declan Kearney

Sinn Féin’s South Antrim MLA, Declan Kearney has expressed his deep sadness at news of the tragic death of 28-year-old Diarmuid McFall on the Moneynick Road, just outside Toome.

Mr Kearney said;

“I was shocked to hear that another young man Diarmuid McFall has lost his life on this stretch of the Moneynick Road, just outside Toome, last night.

“While we don’t have the full details of how this terrible tragedy occurred, the fact that another young life has been taken on our local roads in such tragic circumstances is yet another sombre reminder of the particular dangers of rural roads.

“I want to extend my deepest and heartfelt sympathy to the family and friends of Diarmuid who died as a result of this tragic accident.

“I would also appeal to anyone who may have been in the vicinity of the accident to assist the police in their inquiries.

“Please telephone the PSNI non-emergency number 101, and quote reference1296 17/03/19.”
