Hardy condemns ATM theft
Sinn Féin Councillor Patrice Hardy has condemned those responsible for the robbery of an ATM from outside a shop in County Antrim.
Cllr. Hardy said:
“This is yet another attack on our rural communities which saw the ATM being stolen from the Nisa shop on Brook Street in Ahoghill.
“Considerable damage was caused to the building when a stolen digger was used to rip it from the wall and the digger then set on fire.
“Small local businesses such as this provide a vital service in rural communities but their sustainability is threatened by robberies of this nature.
“I would urge anyone with any information to bring it forward to the PSNI to help catch those responsible.”
