Ní Chuilín ‘concerned’ as another strike begins at North Belfast school
Sinn Féin MLA Carál Ní Chuilín has expressed concern at the ongoing union dispute which has resulted in NASUWT members at St. Patrick’s Primary School in North Belfast taking another round of strike action.
The North Belfast MLA said:
“I am concerned that once again NASUWT members at St. Patrick’s Primary School are taking further strike action.
“This is the second round of strike action at this school over the last number of months – clearly there are ongoing issues which need resolved immediately.
“Once again, I am encouraging school management and the NASUWT to uphold proper communication and dialogue with staff to ensure there can be a resolution to this dispute.
“It’s important the education of children is not impacted by this strike and that parents are kept informed of any developments.
“Sinn Féin support all efforts to find a resolution and would encourage everyone involved in this dispute to enter into meaningful dialogue.”
