Public urged to have their say in Hightown consultation - Goodman

10 April, 2019 - by Michael Goodman

Sinn Féin Councillor Michael Goodman has encouraged residents in the area have their say in the consultation following a revised planning application for the Hightown Incinerator, Mallusk.

Cllr Goodman said:

“I am disappointed to learn that ARC21 have applied again for planning permission for the development of their controversial incinerator at the Hightown Quarry, Mallusk.

“I’m shocked that ARC21 are renewing their efforts to develop this despite the court ruling in 2018.

“I would encourage residents in the area to come out and have their say in the consultation in Glengormley Library ends on Tuesday 23rd April.

Sinn Féin Candidate for Glengormley Urban, Rosie Kinnear said:

“Along with the local community, Sinn Féin remain convinced that the incinerator will have a detrimental impact on the local communities of Mallusk, Hightown, Glengormley and further afield.”
