Anderson meets Ballymurphy families
Sinn Féin MEP Martina Anderson met today with the families of those killed in the Ballymurphy massacre.
Martina Anderson said:
"Today I, along with my party colleague Paul Maskey MP met with relatives of those killed in the Ballymurphy massacre to discuss the ongoing inquest into the 1971 shootings.
"We also wanted to reassure the families that Sinn Féin will continue to oppose any proposals coming from the British government's Defence Secretary Penny Mordaunt and other Tory MPs which would create an amnesty for current or former British soldiers.
"No one can be above the law.
"We also reiterated Sinn Féin's support for the Ballymurphy families and other victims of British state violence in their campaign for truth and justice."
