Hazzard calls on BBC to screen 'No Stone Unturned'
Sinn Féin MP Chris Hazzard has called on the BBC to screen the award-winning documentary, 'No Stone Unturned' to mark the 25th anniversary of the 1994 Loughinisland massacre.
The South Down MP said:
"We are approaching the 25th anniversary of the murders of six men in the Loughinisland massacre.
"The brutal killing of those six men as they watched a football match shocked people around the world and the subsequent revelations of collusion and cover up added to the hurt and suffering of the families of those murdered.
"The award-winning documentary, 'No Stone Unturned', clearly exposed that collusion and cover up for all to see.
"Huge numbers of people have watched the documentary both here and across the world but it deserves to be seen by a much wider audience to tell the story of what happened at The Heights Bar in 1994 and the determined and dignified campaign for truth by the families.
"The BBC was actually involved in commissioning this documentary but to date have failed to broadcast it.
"I have now written to the BBC asking them to screen 'No Stone Unturned' to mark the 25th anniversary and have also requested a meeting to discuss the issue."
