United voice coming from city to deliver medical school - McCallion

13 June, 2019 - by Elisha McCallion

Sinn Féin MP Elisha McCallion has said there is a united voice coming from the north west to a demand a medical school for Derry.

The Foyle MP said:

“Today the mayor of Derry and my party colleague Councillor Michaela Boyle convened a cross party meeting involving political leaders from the city and representatives of Ulster University to discus securing a medical school at Magee.

“It is clear there is a united voice coming from the city in support a medical school.

“We now want an urgent meeting with the head of the civil service and the permanent secretary of the department of health to urge them to give the go ahead to this vital project.”
