'Stop the stalling and investigate the Glennane murders' – Dillon
Sinn Féin MLA Linda Dillon has called on the PSNI to ‘stop the stalling tactics’ and facilitate an effective, independent and overarching investigation into collusion between the infamous loyalist ‘Glenanne Gang’ and the British state.
Commenting ahead of tomorrow’s High Court judgement, the Mid Ulster MLA said:
“It’s now over two years from the courts ruled that the PSNI should facilitate an effective, independent and overarching investigation into collusion in the activities of the infamous Glenanne Gang and British state forces.
“This judgement marked a pivotal day for the Glenanne families in their fight for justice for over 100 murders, including the Miami Showband massacre and the Dublin and Monaghan bombings.
“Regrettably, the PSNI has used delaying tactics by appealing court decisions.
“The British state has continually sought to deny and delay the truth about the role of its armed forces in running loyalist death squads during the conflict.
“Tomorrow, I will join the families at the High Court for the judgement and to extend our party’s solidarity in their long fight for truth and justice.”
