McMullan condemns Carrickfergus sectarian hate crime
Sinn Féin Councillor Oliver McMullan has condemned those behind a sectarian hate crime which forced a couple from their home in Carrickfergus.
Cllr McMullan said:
‘I condemn the incident in Carrickfergus which saw a couple forced from their home after a window was broken and paint thrown at their property in Sunnylands Groves in Carrickfergus on Wednesday night.
“There is no place for sectarianism in our society.
“Sinn Féin has continually called for united political leadership to support a position of zero tolerance against all forms of sectarianism, bigotry and hate crime.
"I urge anyone with information to contact the PSNI as soon as possible and send a signal that sectarianism has no place in our community."
