McGlinchey extends sympathy to Lynch family

26 August, 2019 - by Sean McGlinchey

Sinn Féin councillor Seán McGlinchey has expressed his condolences on the death of Patsy Lynch, brother of 1981 hunger striker Kevin Lynch, who died in the H-Blocks of Long Kesh after 71 days.

Cllr McGlinchey said:“I am saddened to hear of the death of Pasty Lynch.“The Lynch family is held in the highest esteem by republicans, they, along with the other families of the hunger strikers, suffered long agonising days of torment as they watched their loved ones die in order that their comrades would be treated as political prisoners. “I send my condolences and that of our party to the Lynch family circle and friends at this difficult time. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a hanam.”
