Public's view on future of breast assessments must be taken into account - Brady
Sinn Féin MP Mickey Brady has said thousands of people have responded to a consultation on the future of breast assessment services and their views should be taken into account by the Department of Health.
The Newry and Armagh MP said:
"Today my party colleagues and I handed in thousands of responses to a consultation on the future of breast services to the Department of Health.
"There is considerable concern across Newry and Armagh, South Down and elsewhere about the future of Brest assessment services and where they will be located.
"Thousands of people have responded to this consultation and made their voices heard and it is important that Department of Health takes their views on board.
"I made it clear to officials from the Department that people in the are are afraid of the impact of the loss of this service.
"I will continue to work with campaigners to lobby the Department on future service provision."
