O’Brien and Ennis wish Irish Rugby Team all the best in Rugby World Cup in Japan
Sinn Féin Sports Spokespersons North and South, Jonathan O’Brien TD and Sinéad Ennis MLA have wished the Irish Rugby team every success in the Rugby World Cup. The Sinn Féin team said the all-Ireland nature of the team is one to be admired and replicated to improve Ireland’s sporting chances.
Deputy O’Brien said:
“I wish the team all the best in the tournament beginning with the match against Scotland this weekend. I am sure they will do the entire country proud. This all island team shows the strength of our country when we all come together. We go into this competition as the number one ranked team in the world. This shows you what we can achieve.
MLA Ennis said:
“I wish the Ireland team all the best in Japan. The all-Ireland nature of the team is one of its greatest strengths and an example of how success can be achieved if this approach is adopted by other sports.”
