Sinn Féin MP Francie Molloy has welcomed a planning application for a new state of the art £42m training facility for the Fire and Rescue Service at Desertcreat near Cookstown.
The Mid Ulster MP said:
"I welcome the announcement that a planning application has been lodged by the Fire and Rescue Service for the Learning and Development Centre at Desertcreat.
"This application is for adding additional training facilities to the existing complex which opened in 2019.
"This project is a massive investment for Mid Ulster area.
"Not only would it provide first class training facilities for the men and women of the Fire and Rescue Service but it would also provide a huge boost to the construction sector in the area and create many jobs."
