Port workers need answers over withdrawal - O'Dowd
Sinn Féin MLA John O'Dowd has said workers at the Port of Larne need answers about why they were withdrawn from work after reports of threats.
John O'Dowd said:
"I welcome the fact that workers at the Port of Larne are beginning to get back to work safely.
"On top of the distress of being withdrawn from work, these workers, their unions and everyone else still don't know the exact circumstances around why they were removed.
"The timelines of events published in the media and concerns about confidential emails raise many questions that need to be answered.
"The Chief Executive of Mid and East Antrim Council, the Agriculture Minister and the DUP need to provide a full and accurate account of exactly what happened as a matter of urgency."
