Sinn Féin support call on British government to deliver fair pay for health workers – Gildernew

Sinn Féin’s Colm Gildernew has backed the call on the British government to deliver fair pay for health workers.

Supporting a call by leading health trade union Unison, the party’s health spokesperson said:

“Sinn Féin supports the call on the British Government to deliver a fair pay award to our health workers.

“The offer on the table from Boris Johnson’s Tory government is not enough to help workers meet the rising costs of heating their homes or putting fuel in the car.

“The British government must deliver a pay increase for health workers which is realistic and actually recognises the work they do on the frontline for everyone.”
