Gerry Adams calls for safe return of life saving medical equipment
Sinn Féin President and MP for West Belfast Gerry Adams has this morning called for the return of a defibrillator machine which was stolen from an ambulance in the New Barnsley district.
Speaking today Mr Adams said:
“The theft of an essential piece of life saving medical equipment must be condemned. Given the fact that the defibrillator is virtually useless to those outside of the medical profession, it is clearly theft for theft’s sake.
“I want to commend the work undertaken by the emergency services right across the city of Belfast, often carried out in dangerous and challenging circumstances. I want to take this opportunity to call for the safe return of the defibrillator machine which is an essential piece of life-saving equipment.” ENDS
