St. Michael's should remain integral part of Inchicore community for foreseeable future
Sinn Féin Dublin City Councillor Críona Ní Dálaigh has welcomed the decision of the Christian Brothers to keep St. Michael's Primary school in Inchicore open for another 12 months but said, "the school should remain an integral part of the community for the foreseeable future."
Speaking today Ms. Ní Dálaigh said, "I welcome the decision of the Christian Brothers to keep St. Michael‚s open for another 12 months. This will give the parents an adequate and proper opportunity to find a suitable new school for their children. I would like to congratulate both the staff at the school and the parents of the children on their successful campaign to keep the school open.
"However, I believe that the school should remain an integral part of the community for the foreseeable future and should be central to the regeneration of the area and Sinn Féin remains committed to making that a reality." ENDS
