SF Call meeting to advance All-Ireland Healthcare

Meath Sinn Féin Councillor Joe Reilly has announced that the Sinn Féin National Elected Representatives Forum (NERF) is to call a meeting of all Sinn Féin elected represetnatives who sit on Regional Health Forums throughout the country. Councillor Reilly, who is Chairperson of the NERF, said the meeting will be attended by representatives from both sides of the border and is part of the development of Sinn Féin's All-Ireland Health Strategy.

Speaking today Councillor Reilly said, "As part of Sinn Féin's Health Campaign party representatives from North and South will be meeting to discuss how we can advance the All-Ireland aspects of our recently launched policy document entitled 'Healthcare in an Ireland of Equals'. We are calling for root and branch reform of the health services both North and South and the establishment of an all-Ireland health service with access based on need and not on ability to pay or geographic location." Note to editor: The meeting will take place in the Ardboyne Hotel, Navan, County Meath on Monday 19th June at 11am. Attending the meeting will be Sinn Féin Health Spokesperson in the Dáil Caoimhghín Ó Caoláin TD, Assembly Health Spokesperson John O'Dowd MLA, Meath Councillor Joe Reilly and a number of Sinn Féin representatives from throughout Ireland.
