Ó Snodaigh to announce details of Dublin's participation in 25th Anniversary Hunger Strike Commemoration
Dublin Sinn Féin TD Aengus Ó Snodaigh will tomorrow morning announce details of Dublin's participation in the 25th Anniversary Commemoration of the 1981 Hunger Strikes which takes place in Belfast this Sunday. Tens of thounsands of people people including thousands from Dublin will attend the commemoration in Belfast.
Deputy Ó Snodaigh said, "Dublin republicans played a pivotal role in the smash H-Block/Armagh campaigns of 1980 and 1981 and we are proud to commemorate the ten brave men who paid the ultimate sacrifice in defiance of Tatcher's policy of criminalisation of the republican struggle. On Sunday tens of thousands of republicans including thousands from Dublin will gather in Belfast for the 25th Anniversary commemoration."
Deputy Ó Snodaigh will be available to speak to the media at 10am tomorrow morning in the Sinn Féin Bookshop at 58 Parnell Square.
