Crisis in health service and upcoming negotiations to top agenda at Sinn Féin leadership meeting in Howth

Sinn Féin TDs, MPs, MLAs and MEPs will meet in the Deerpark Hotel in Howth, County Dublin on Friday 8th September for a day-long meeting. For the first time the meeting will also be attended by the party's candidates for the upcoming General Election in the 26 Counties. The event is being hosted by the party's Dublin North East representative Larry O'Toole.

Among the key items to be discussed will be the crisis in the health service, the upcoming peace talks and the economy.

Sinn Féin President Gerry Adams MP will open the meeting by setting out the challenges facing the party in the coming year.

In the morning session the party's elected representatives will receive a report from the negotiations team and discuss our approach to the upcoming negotiations.

In the afternoon Sinn Féin Dáil Group leader Caoimhghín Ó Caoláin TD will open the debate on the party's key campaigns for the coming year including the crisis in the health service and laying out Sinn Féin's comprehensive economic and enterprise proposals. The party will also conclude discussions on the policy areas which will form the centrepiece of the General Election campaign in the 26 Counties and the ongoing roll-out of the party's mass voter registration campaign formally launched in Dublin last week.
