Morgan to raise all-Ireland economy at British Irish Parliamentary Body meeting in Belfast tomorrow

22 October, 2006

Sinn Féin Louth TD Arthur Morgan will attend tomorrow’s meeting of the British Irish Parliamentary Body which is taking place in Belfast for the first time.  At the meeting Deputy Morgan will call for a full and open debate on the benefits of an all-Ireland economy, the need for far reaching proposals to bring about the economic regeneration of the border region including the removal of barriers to cross border mobility for business, employment and a range of public services.

Deputy Morgan will also call on all those in attendance to support ongoing efforts to bring about the full restoration of the political institutions including the power-sharing government in the Six Counties, the all-Ireland Parliamentary Forum and the all-Ireland Civic Forum.
