Dublin Sinn Féin to hold housing protest a City Hall

6 January, 2007

As Part of its ongoing Housing Campaign Dublin Sinn Féin has organised a Protest outside the next meeting of Dublin City Council on Monday the 8th January.  The Protest is to demand an end to homelessness, the provision of public land for social housing and a reversal of the changes to Part V of the Planning & Development Act 2000 which allows developers to but their way out of their obligations under Part V of the Act to provide twenty percent of all new housing developments for social and affordable housing.  The protest will take place outside City Hall at 6pm and Sinn Féin Housing spokesperson Seán Crowe TD will be in attendance and available to speak to the media.
