Bairbre de Brún MEP to launch Sinn Féin’s North West Charter
Sinn Féin MEP Bairbre de Brún along with Foyle Assembly election candidate Martina Anderson and Sinn Féin Donegal North East representative and County Councillor Pádraig Mac Lochlainn will launch the party's North West Charter tomorrow, Monday 26th February, at 9.15 am in the Sinn Féin Party Headquarters & Foyle Constituency Service, Ráth Mór Business Park , Bligh's Lane, Derry.
Sinn Féin's NW Charter is a regional development document that seeks to develop the North West of Ireland as fully integrated area. The document makes the case that Derry and Donegal's future prosperity, indeed the prosperity of the all the towns and hinterlands of the NW is premised upon the whole region becoming fully integrated.
The NW charter offers a blueprint on how the NW can become fully integrated in terms of:
· Regional Government,
· Public Services, Spatial Planning,
· Economy and Education, Health,
· the Strategic use of EU and government funds
The NW charter comes as a result of months of research carried out by Sinn Féin's All-Ireland and EU departments.
