Martin McGuinness speaks with Gordon Brown on Peace Dividend

Sinn Féín Chief Negotiator Martin McGuinness last night spoke by telephone to the British Chancellor of the Exchequer Gordon Brown on the need for a substantial economic package to underpin the work of any future Executive.

Mr McGuinness will today arrive in the USA for a series of engagements in Washington and New York.

Meanwhile Sinn Féin President Gerry Adams will travel to London today for lunchtime talks with the British Prime Minister Tony Blair.
