Shock at Antrim Road Deaths

15 March, 2007

Sinn Féin North Antrim MLA Daithí McKay has said that local people are in deep shock after the death of two people in a car crash on the Ballybogy Road between Balymoney and Portrush last night.

Mr McKay said:

"I want to extend my deepest sympathies to the families of those killed in this horrific car crash and my hope that those who are injured make a full recovery.

"Clearly we need to understand more about this terrible accident.

"Sinn Féin want to see a full audit of all our roads, and particularly those where there have been accidents so that we can target resources either to challenge the behaviour of road users or to improve the physical aspects of areas where there have been a number of accidents." ENDS
