Enterprise Delays

21 June, 2007

Sinn Féin Newry and Armagh MLA Mickey Brady has said that the delays suffered by passengers on their Dublin to Belfast Enterprise Train journey last night were unacceptable.

Mr Brady said:

"There were many angry and frustrated passengers last night after their journey ended up as one person described to me 'a fiasco and a nightmare'. Whilst delays are a fact of life, the fact that people had to wait around for such a time waiting on a back up procedure to fall into place, is concerning.

"One might expect that by this time a smooth back up procedure would be in place. Once again we end up with people suffering unnecessary lengthy delays. Rather than satisfied customers, we have angry and frustrated passengers." ENDS
