Cathleen Carney Boud was born in to a large family with roots in North Dublin and lives in Ballygall with her husband, originally from Glasnevin, and their three children. A law student of Trinity College, Cathleen believes equality in education is the key to a brighter future for all of the children of our nation.
Cathleen was elected to Dublin City Council in 2014. She and her colleagues have since secured a reduction in Local Property Tax, campaigned against water charges, highlighted the housing crisis, and protected Moore Street. Cathleen is on the Education Training Board, local school boards, the Joint Policing Committee and the Planning & International Relations SPC.
Cathleen Carney Boud is standing in the General Election with a promise to abolish the water charges and the Local Property Tax. Cathleen is also committed to tackling the housing crisis and providing a fairer tax system that aims to create a more equal society.
