Sinn Fein Cllr Joe Reilly has welcomed €15.9m investment programme as a major opportunity for Navan.
Cllr. Reilly said:
“I welcome Meath Co. Councils proposals under the Capital Programme 2008 - 2010 to invest €15.9m in the development of business parks in the Navan area. I have continually raised the issue of the need for industrial land in Navan over the years and I have forcefully pointed out that other towns in Meath and in the region were building Business Parks while Navan was without a land bank for similar development”
“The purchase of lands and the development of the Business Parks will be is a major opportunity and huge boost for local indigenous industries and employment opportunities for the people of Navan and the many people who are forced to commute to Dublin on a daily basis”
“No stone must be left unturned to ensure that the lands are purchased, infrastructure put in place and that the development of the business parks come on stream with the opening of the M3 in 2010” Ends
