Stand Up for Derry – Stormont cavalcade
Sinn Féin MLA Martina Anderson has said that the cavalcade organised for Monday, 21st January, from Derry to Stormont is an opportunity for everyone including those sniping from the sidelines to put all the Ministers to the test.
Ms Anderson said:
"The Stand Up for Derry Campaign is moving onto a new level with a cavalcade to Stormont to highlight the deficiencies that has dogged Derry in terms of development and funding over the years.
"This campaign is designed to ensure that Derry get equal treatment when it comes to investment and development from the executive. This is also an opportunity for those distracters who constantly snipe from the sidelines to come along and lend their voice in a pro active way.
"I have no bother whatsoever in tackling each and every Minister, no matter which party they emanate from, when it comes to addressing Derry's disadvantages.
"This cavalcade is only a part of the campaign which will continue to campaign for Derry and the North West region to be treated on an equal basis when it comes to investment." ENDS
