Sinn Féin Parliamentary Team meeting in Dublin next week
The Sinn Féin Leinster House Parliamentary team will hold its annual party 'think in' in the Deerpark Hotel in Howth, County Dublin on Tuesday 2nd and Wednesday 3rd September in advance of the return of the Dáil.
The party's Assembly team will meet on Friday 5th September in Gulladuff and an all Ireland meeting of Sinn Féin's elected representatives will take place at the end of September.
Topping the agenda at next week's meeting are the economy, the situation post Lisbon Treaty and community safety and policing. The party will launch a 'cutbacks monitor' initiative to highlight cutbacks in frontline services across the state and will also discuss proposals aimed at stimulating the economy.
Over the coming months Sinn Féin is determined to hold the government to account and to show the same constructive leadership which we showed during the Lisbon Treaty campaign.
Over the two days the Sinn Féin representatives will also discuss next year's Local Government and European elections and the work of the newly formed Taskforce on Irish unity.
Dáil Group leader Caoimhghín Ó Caoláin TD and Dublin MEP Mary Lou McDonald will be available to talk to the media at 11am on Tuesday at the Deerpark Hotel.
