British Must Honour Plastic Bullet Commitment
Sinn Féin policing spokesperson Gerry Kelly has said that he will be raising with the British government the issue of plastic bullets at the earliest opportunity.
Mr Kelly said:
" The British government gave a commitment to end the use of plastic bullets by the end of this year.
" It has now been reported that they have instead issued new guidelines on the use of these killer devices. This is completely unacceptable. The British government must honour its commitments regarding this matter.
" The continued use of plastic bullets is unacceptable and I will be raising this matter with the British government at the earliest opportunity as a matter of urgency." ENDS
