Doolan supports workers in Docklands industrial dispute
Sinn Féin’s Dublin South East Representative Daithí Doolan has today condemned the management at Marine Terminals Limited for what he described as bully boy tactics which they are using in an attempt to force its workforce out of the company.
Speaking after attending a lunch time protest by workers at the plant at Seán Moore Road Roundabout today Doolan said, “Management at Marine Terminals Limited have introduced new employment contracts for its workers which are wholly unacceptable. They have resorted to intimidation and bull boy tactics in their bid to force the workers out of their jobs. This is deplorable behaviour from management and must cease immediately.
“Today’s protest action by the workers was in response to the actions of management and is part of a series of actions that the workforce will be taking to highlight their cause. The workforce has enjoyed the full support of both myself and the Sinn Féin party and will continue to do so until there is a satisfactory outcome to this dispute.” ENDS
