Ó Clochartaigh offers Condolences to family of Irish woman killed in Tunisia
Sinn Féin Senator Trevor Ó Clochartaigh has offered his condolences to the family of an Irish woman killed in a militant attack on civilians in Tunisia.
Senator Ó Clochartaigh said:
“There is breaking news that an Irish woman is among the 28 people killed after militants stormed a beach and hotel in Sousse, Tunisia were they brutally attacked civilians and tourists.
“On behalf of Sinn Féin I would like to formally pass on my sincere condolences to her family.
“This is the second attack on tourists in Tunisia in recent months and I would like the join the chorus of voices across the world condemning these horrific attacks.
“I understand that the Irish Department of Foreign Affairs have created a Consular Crisis Centre to respond to these attacks as Tunisia is a popular place for Irish tourists and some Irish citizens are in the area of the attacks.
“If you have concerns please call the Centre at 01-4180200. Irish citizens in Sousse are advised to follow the instructions of the police, tour operators, and their hotel staff.”
