McKay calls for Law Society to co-operate with Finance Committee NAMA inquiry
Sinn Féin MLA Daithí McKay has called for the Law Society to co-operate with the Finance Committee's inquiry into allegations raised by Mick Wallace TD in the Dáil last week.
Mr McKay, the chair of the Assembly's Finance Committee, said;
"The public statements from the Law Society have added to the confusion surrounding the allegations made in Leinster House last week by Mick Wallace.
"In order to clear up this confusion, I am calling for the Law Society to accept the invitation to come before the Finance Committee inquiry as soon as possible.
"It would be helpful if they explained what investigations they have carried out in relation to those involved in these transactions.
"I repeat the call for anyone with information which may shed light on these transactions to make themselves available to the Finance Committee inquiry."
