Seeley condemns Lurgan security alert

14 January, 2016 - by Liam Mackle

Sinn Féin Councillor Catherine Seeley condemned those responsible for a security alert in Lurgan today.

Speaking after a suspicious object was found on Lake Street, Ms. Seeley said:

“Those responsible for this disruption do not represent anyone in our community.

“The inconvenience caused to families and to our transport services is a sad reminder that there are still enemies of peace and progress in the North.

“I would appeal to those responsible to cease these senseless activities in Lurgan or anywhere else.

“The residents here should not have to endure this type of incident.”
