Irish Water should publish its payment figures for the first quarter of 2016 without any further delay - Ó Broin
Sinn Féin TD Eoin Ó Broin has called on Irish Water to publish its payment figures for the first quarter this year.
Deputy Ó Broin said the figures for the last quarter of 2015 were published by 14th of January and he sees no reason for a delay in publishing the figures for the next quarter.
Speaking today he said;
“Irish Water was able to publish its payment figures for the last quarter of 2015 by 14th of January this year even though there were holiday days at the start of that month.
“Yet we are now 19 days past the end of the first quarter of this year and the company has not published its figures yet.
“I sincerely hope that the delay has nothing to do with the ongoing negotiations for the formation of a government.
“Irish Water should publish these figures without any further delay.
“Sinn Féin will seek to have a motion brought before the Dáil tomorrow to abolish water charges.”
