Call for Minister Ross to intervene in LUAS dispute
Sinn Féin councillor for Sandyford Glencullen Chris Curran has called on newly appointed Minister for Transport Shane Ross to intervene in the Luas dispute and to do all in his power do bring it to an end in a way that is satisfactory to both the drivers and management but most importantly to the commuters.
Councillor Curran said;
"This issue has haunted commuters for the last few months and it is clear that there is a need for intervention from the government. The previous Minister for Transport refused point blank to do this.
“I hope that our local TD and newly appointed Transport Minister Shane Ross will take a different and more proactive approach.
"With more industrial action planned, the Minister needs to act immediately to avert any further disruption for LUAS users.”
