Minister of Health must make urgent bids for funding – Gildernew

Sinn Féin MLA Colm Gildernew has called on the Minister for Health to urgently submit bids for available funding.

The chair of the health committee said:

“The Minister of Health needs to urgently submit bids to address some of the many pressures squeezing the health and social care sector at the moment.

“Across all of the health and social care sector, workers are facing unprecedented challenges and trying conditions.

“The Minister for Health should use the money available to alleviate some of these pressures.

“For example, health care staff, carers and student nurses, who have stepped forward to protect during this COVID – 19 pandemic, deserve some financial support.”
