Gerry Adams will highlight need to invest in local communities during Dublin visit

Sinn Féin President Gerry Adams MP will be in Dublin today (Thursday 4th May) for a series of engagements in Dublin Mid-West and Dublin North East. During the visit to the city Mr. Adams will set out Sinn Féin's determination to tackle state neglect and to invest in local communities.

In Dublin Mid West Mr. Adams, accompanied by party representative for the area, Joanne Spain, will open the new Sinn Féin constituency office on Castle Crescent in Clondalkin Village at 1.30pm. Earlier in the morning he will meet with local residents in Lucan and in the Quarryvale Community centre.

In Dublin North East Mr. Adams and Councillor Larry O'Toole will meet with some of the families of those bereaved in the Stardust fire tragedy.

At 6.30pm Mr. Adams will attend the opening of an exhibition, in the library in Donaghmede, to commemorate the 1981 Hunger Strikes. Friday 5th May marks the 25th anniversary of the death of Bobby Sands after 66 days on hunger strike. ENDS
