Originally from Ballybrittas, Co. Laois, Patricia lives in Monasterevin with her husband Michael. She has two adult sons.
A former trade union shop steward, she represented workers in Tyna Knitwear in Monasterevin and is active in local community groups including Monasterevin/Kildangan First Responders Group, Monasterevin Community Centre, and Housing Action Kildare.
Elected to Kildare County Council in 2019, she worked closely with Sinn Féin TD Brian Stanley to tackle a range of issues faced by local people. Patricia is the Sinn Féin Spokesperson for Older People, she is also a member of the Budgetary Oversight Committee.
In 2020, Patricia was elected to the 33rd Dáil to represent Kildare South, topping the poll.
Patricia is a hard-working, honest, straight-talking representative and is passionate about advocating for her constituents.
